RECOVER, FLOURISH, GROW
Welcome to Lauren Booth Counselling and Psychotherapy. I understand that life’s challenges are unique and complex to all individuals. As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in Greater Manchester, I’m here to help you find yourself and overcome any hurdles that are holding you back from living to your full potential. If you’re feeling lost, anxious or stressed, I can offer empathy and understanding in a non-judgmental environment where you can be yourself in a safe and accepting space.
MY STORY
I am a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Bolton with a 1st class honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am married with children and love nature and animals.
I truly believe that every client has within themselves vast resources for development and the capacity to grow into the person they are meant to be, its just that they may have got lost due to their experiences; maybe difficult relationships, trauma or illness. I have witnessed the incredible effects that clients have experienced in therapy, finding the resources to make positive changes and enjoy life again. I look at well-being as a whole; mind and body as one and can help you if you’re struggling with your weight, addictive behaviours or self-sabotage. My priority is to build a trusting relationship with confidentiality, warmth, and empathy. I have helped clients from all backgrounds with a variety of issues such as body dysmorphia, eating disorders, acute anxiety and panic attacks, depression, bereavement and alcohol abuse; both privately and within a women’s organisation, witnessing them modify their behaviours and transform their lives. I predominantly work with women, adolescents, and young adults.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

ZOOM OR TELEPHONE COUNSELLING
Video call or Telephone sessions- £40 per 60 minutes. I also offer a discount for block bookings.
WALK AND TALK THERAPY
Walk and talk therapy is conducted outside with the therapist and client walking side by side, enabling an integration of physical activity and nature into the session. Many clients prefer walk and talk to face to face in a room as they feel comfortable and able to explore their feelings more. Evidence demonstrates that being in nature has many positive benefits such as improved self esteem, a decline in stress levels and a general improvement in well-being overall (Revell & McLeod, 2016).
I offer 50 minute walk and talk sessions in Rivington, Chorley and in Monton, Worsley at £45 per session. Discount is available on block bookings. Please contact me if you would like to know more or to arrange a session.
